| Richard Horwood enthusiast  Joined: 01 Mar 2007 | Women's Darts Can anyone tell me why the women's darts world champion only wins £6k, while the men's champion gets £84k? Even odder perhaps, is that surely this is one sport where men and women can compete on equal terms, and apparently there are only twice as many men professional darts players as women, so a pretty good pool from which to draw quality women's players. And yet, before they set up a separate women's championship and men and women competed against each other, the women never featured at all. Is there something about darts that favours the male physique? |
