Benefits:
The 1 arm DB deadlift is a total body exercise, combining strengthening of the glutes, lower back and hamstrings with core stabilisation.
Pre-Requisites:
You should possess good core strength and integrity before attempting this exercise.
Set Up:
Stand with your feet hip distance apart and a slight bend in the knees, holding a DB in one hand.
Activate your core properly.
Action:
Inhale as you slowly bend from the waist, keeping the back flat and letting your hips go back.
Lower as far as you can whilst maintaining the correct posture.
Exhale as you focus on the back of the legs, rising back up to the start position.
Perform the desired amount of reps on one side before switching hands on the next set.
